Kevin took Collin in for his 2 year check up today, and we were thrilled with the progress report! Of most importance, the Dr. noted that he is a happy, healthy two year old!! He weighs 26 pounds, 2 ounces (25%) and is growing 100% in proportion at 34.25 inches tall (40%). The Dr. saw no areas of concern, except that Collin's skin is a tad dry from his week at the beach. : )
Developmentally, we were excited to hear that Collin is soaring above the marks for the average 2 year old. Based on his skill level and range of emotions, the Dr. said that we were likely in luck as Collin probably experienced his "terrible twos" around the age of 18 months. For anyone who was around our house at that time, you can attest that he was a handfull then! Of course, we also had just had Owen AND we were just discovering his farsightedness. So, tough to say. But all in all, the Dr. and nursing staff were very impressed with our little boy and pleased to provide a glowing report!
