Owen's Talking! "Ma-Ma" and "Da-Da" are becoming common words in Owen's language set (we don't really understand any others yet!). And his sign language is taking off! Although "all done" is the most commonly used so far, he's also become adept at "more," "bye-bye" and "eat."

Sitting on his knees. Awhhhh... I loved when Collin did this, and I now love watching Owen doing it too. It's just a cute sitting position!

Owen is a quick learner ~ he doesn't seem to practice except in his head. Then suddenly, one day, he can just do it ~ whatever it is. It's remarkable. Happened that way with sitting up, crawling, rolling over - and playing basketball! We never think to ourselves: "I think he can do it; oops; oh! there, he got it!;" it's always "I don't know if he can do it because he's never done it; oh! well, he did it!"

It took only three good minutes and maybe ten tries for Owen to make it to the top of the slide once he'd set his mind to it ~ and that's mostly while Collin thwarted his efforts, sliding directly into him! (which Owen thought was hillarious by the way!) Way to go, Owen!

Great family photos. What a nice fun family to be snowbound together. I was thinking about you guys when all the snow came down. Thanks for sharing. See you at family Christmas.
